A missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, Cynthia D. (Cindy) Ceballos is serving as the Honduras Medical Ministries Coordinator. Cindy and husband David, also a missionary, previously served in Barcelona, Spain, with three of their children.

Cindy coordinates with medical VIM teams to assist with in-country credentials, arranges for transportation and housing, and facilitates communication between teams and the areas to be visited.

Sharing her call to mission, Cindy says she had been focused in building a career in the secular world, ”only to find it empty and unfulfilling. God began to show me that I could use my grace gifts in building God’s kingdom, the only way to fill the void.”

Born in New Mexico, Cindy earned her diploma in nursing from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock, TX, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lubbock Christian University. She worked for Methodist Hospital in Lubbock in cardiac care and diabetes education, and for a pharmaceutical company before beginning her service in mission.

Cindy and David are the parents of six adult children: Tanji, Randall, Sasha, Mike, Sophia and Gabriel. Her church membership is with Amherst UMC in Amherst, TX.

Cynthia Ceballos is available for Covenant Relationship support in Central Texas Annual Conference ,  Northwest Texas Annual Conference .

Rev. David M. Ceballos, missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, is serving in Honduras as the Honduras Program Coordinator and pastor of Danli Central UMC. David and wife Cindy, also a missionary, previously served in Barcelona, Spain, with three of their children.

As program coordinator David will oversee theological and ministerial formation, leadership development and outreach programs, and facilitate Sunday school and Christian education resources in Spanish.

”My call to mission came through participation in several VIM trips,” David shares. I came to the realization that I could be most effective in cross-cultural ministry. I also came to the conviction that I would rather utilize my grace gifts where there is not an abundance of Christian resources.”

David attended Pan American University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He has earned two masters degrees: one in theology and one in religious education from Southwestern Seminary in Texas. David is currently studying toward a PhD. in education from North Central University.
